
David Martin
Director of F9 Health Promotion and as a ‘Physical Activity Adviser’ David provides specialist expertise and advice to support Schools, Local Authorities, NHS, commercial and Third Sector organisations in increasing physical activity levels and reducing obesity across the UK. As the former Associate Delivery Manager for Physical Activity within the Department of Health he provided consultancy style guidance and support to Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts in targeting obesity through; the alignment of local strategy and policy; increasing physical activity levels; improving health outcomes; and monitoring and evaluation of services through effective data capture and analysis. Previously the National Adviser for Physical Activity & Sport at Learning Teaching Scotland, he lead the development of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport within A Curriculum for Excellence. A skilled project manager with extensive experience within national and local government, he provides a wide range of advice and guidance to strategists and commissioners in improving service strategy, planning, implementation and review..

Colin Ferguson
Colin Ferguson is a former secondary school Head Teacher and was Chair of the New Community School Pilot Project in the Alness Academy in Highland Region. He represented Secondary Head Teachers on the National Health Promoting Schools Steering Group for Scotland from early 2002 to the end of 2004.
Colin also chaired the HPS LA National Endorsement Team from January to December 2006. Colin has worked with LGL since 2007 after retiring as a HT and has been involved in consultancy activities for Highland Council/NHS Highland, LGL APSE and Redbrook Garve Ltd and the Welsh Assembly.
Diane Roberts
Diane is an experienced communicator and tutor, trained in visual arts and physical movement. She has a BA Hons. from Dundee University and a Teaching Diploma from The British Wheel of Yoga. A highly creative individual, she is equally adept at leading projects with a strong visual arts or design focus and promoting health and wellbeing through physical exercise, movement and relaxation. Diane has run her own business since 2002, designing and delivering a range of health related projects. Clients include: NHS Highland, Highland Council, Breast Cancer Care, Maggie's Centre Inverness and The Haemophilia Society. She has worked with Lindsay as part of a team delivering consultations with children in Reading and Liverpool in 2009.

Gillian Newman
Gillian Newman (BA Hons Child and Youth Studies) has over 20 years experience in children’s services. Working with the Highland Children’s Forum from 2004-2011, Gillian has supported the participation of children with additional support needs involving them in service evaluation and policy development. She was seconded on the to Getting it Right for Every Child Highland Pathfinder team, developing the business processes, guidance and training programme for the voluntary sector. Gillian now works as an independent participation professional carrying out consultation and action research with service users and other stakeholders as part of influencing policy and service provision. She is also a part-time lecturer with Inverness College, provides staff training to other organisations in participation and person-centred planning and mentors young people with additional support needs.
Currently Gillian is working towards an MSc Health and Wellbeing and a Further Education Professional Development Award.

Diane Davies
Diane Davies has extensive, successful senior management and leadership experience in education, the NHS, public health, healthy eating and community regeneration. Diane progressed through several NHS senior management posts across primary care, secondary care and public health. She led a New Deal for Communities community regeneration initiative and was a senior Delivery Manager for the School Food Trust. Recent posts include Director, Burngreave New Deal for Communities, Sheffield; Deputy Director, Public Health, SE Sheffield Primary Care Trust; Director, Children, Young People and Families Network, Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority and National Delivery Manager, the School Food Trust. She now works as an independent consultant in health and education.
As an independent consultant Diane’s work has included producing the 5 year delivery plan for Sheffield City Wide Initiative to Reduce Childhood Obesity; conducting a review of Sheffield’s Sexual Health Services and facilitating several development programmes for NHS and Local Authority teams.

Bill Kirkup
Bill is the Director of the Sustainable Futures Practice, this is a new company established to assist organisations to develop cost effective strategies for improving the sustainability of their operations. Bill has a particular interest in sustainable procurement and supply chain management and specialises in food. He is a recognised authority on public sector food procurement and has been involved in a number of national projects and cross government working groups. His experience encompasses the whole supply chain and is focused on identifying and realising opportunities to secure benefits for supply chain actors whilst minimising adverse impacts.
Bill has worked on environmental and sustainable development projects for over 20 years. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, and a postgraduate diploma in Agriculture and Farm Business Management. An experienced project and programme manager he also holds Prince II Foundation and MSP Practitioner qualifications.
